Monday - What a first day!

                         

                   Group1 5/06/17 Eve 7E

We started off the day with the travel down.  I didn’t start it very good because I got on the wrong bus. Once we all got on the right bus, we went to the ferry. We had to walk down on to the boat; on the boat two fiddlers played on the boat all the way they were very good. On the way to Lagganlia we watched two movies Goosebumps and angry birds. Once we were at the centre we had dinner and a Fire drill, when we were all outside we met our Instructor (Brig) and had a tour of the centre. The most memorable place was the Catren hill.

Before we had to leave School in the morning I put my coat in the line-up area and I was so excited that my coat got left it in the playground.  On the Boat I feel a sleep and Eszter took a photo of me on Mrs Dufort’s camera, after the boat we went on the bus, I on the mini bus and we watched a movie. I was sitting next to Ellie. When we finally arrived at 5.15 pm we went and had dinner, after dinner we were told to go to our rooms to unpack, before we had a fire drill. After that we met up with our instructor (Brig) and we went on a tour of the camp.     

We went to school as normal and left to go to Stromness at 9.30am. We travelled on the boat, some of us stayed inside while some sat or stood outside. As we sailed by Hoy, Charley noticed that one of the cliffs looked like a foot from the angle she saw it at. We got picked up by the bus at Scrabster. There was a small bus and a big bus. The big bus watched The BFG and the small bus watched Goosebumps. We had a lunch stop at Golspie then we continued to travel to Lagganlia. The big bus enjoyed some tunes and some even sang along. The small bus watched Angry Birds. The big bus went the wrong way but we got there eventually! Tea was delicious and everyone was hungry. We met the instructors (ours was Stuart) and had a tour around.

Group 4

On the journey down we had lots of fun singing Pokerface on the bus. Whilst we were singing the bus driver missed the turning but we got there eventually. 

We met in the common room and got told about Lagganlia and went to meet the instructor. His name is Craig and we think he looks like Seth Rogan and Harry Potter. We did some activities: went up the ski slope, wrote our names with sticks and stones and played a game on rocks in the forest. We think we have spotted Shreks toilet in the forest!!

Group 5

We went on the bus. It took quite a long time but we eventually got here. It is a nice place we got tours from our instructors and were told where we could go. I will be great to see what we do this week and I am very enthusiastic about the whole thing!

Lauren

We all went to school as normal then we went on the bus to Stromness. Once we were in Stromness we all went onto the boat. Me, Isla, Hannah and Brogan played Uno. We were on the boat for an hour and a half and after the boat we went on the bus. I fell asleep for 15 minutes. We got to Lagganlia and we got a tour from our instructors and I’m so excited for the rest of the week!

After we got off the boat we went on the bus and I was on the small bus. It had leather seats and they had big tables at the back and blue lights at the side. After we got our dinner we got a tour outside. From the windows by our friends it was super fun on the bus for 3 hours and I can’t wait for the rest of the week, bye.

Group 6

Monday we went on a bus to Stromness and got on the boat.  It took 1hr30mins and it was flat calm.  After that we got on another busy and once we got to Lagganlia we took a wrong turn and went too far and had to go the whole way back.  On the peedie busy we watched two films, Angry Birds and Goosebumps.  It was comfortable and pleasant.  On the big bus we watched the BFG and listened to music.  In the evening, we got shown around by our instructors, also got attacked by midges.  By all of us Brogan, Emily, Drew, Jenny, Michael, Glen, Ade, Ellie and Isla D.

We observed the 2 min silence for the recent events in London.  Compliments given to us on the boat so again, Papdale did ourselves proud.  It has been an eventful day in so many ways but they are all to bed sleeping soundly.  See you all tomorrow!
